Good to know. Then again, neither my trainer nor I are remotely tempted to experiment in this area, so I’m not worried.
I just wish I could sign some entry forms …
If you’re thinking about the one I am, it was in the latest issue of the USEF magazine and it was the trainer only. Neither the owner nor the catch rider were penalized.
LOL ouch.
😎
What a snooty, unnecessary comment.
My trainer does not sign my entries. I keep my horse at my barn and am responsible for his daily care. Moist trainers won’t sign the entry and we put ourselves as the trainer etc. so they added the coach part to the form a few years ago, LOL
Tori was a Junior at the time so I am sure that was taken into account.
why was that an “ouch”? So many unnecessary and mean remarks. That is why i go back to the pettiness of this topic. Small people trying to seem important and throwing about accusations of things they know nothing about.
Agree.
Pettiness?
“Throwing out accusations of things [we] know nothing about?”
You’re the one who was so ignorant about the way SS works that you didn’t understand that one could be in violation of the SS code without committing a crime. That’s pretty ignorant. You called this discussion a lynching. You referred to a 25 year old fully adult female as a girl.
Pretty much everything about a SS investigation is confidential. So no one, even people like yourself with a passing acquaintance from 15 years ago, knows what did and did not happen. Since the SS investigators are not talking, anyone who does claim to have inside information is just repeating gossip. To keep claiming that other posters should have some real life acquaintance with TS, as you do, to be “qualified” to opine on the fact that he was suspended, is ridiculous. I suppose BN would have some inside information, but she has spouted too many documentably untrue statements for me to believe what she says.
It is a public fact that there is now a three year suspension, and that is what is being discussed.
Ms. Dehlendorf, no one is throwing accusations. Whatever the violation was, it has been investigated and a punishment has been implemented.
You choose not the believe it (?).

I show with TS and his barn (as have others on this board)- not as a client but we are/have been stabled near and interact. Never has he been anything other than a gentleman to me or that I have witnessed. That is all that means. People we know, like(d) and have respected can do things we have no idea about.

Your USEF record shows 1 show 20 years ago. Only saying because you threw it out there. Not a stalker, just curious on your breadth of showing and interactions. As you as vehemently opposed that this is a just punishment.
That of course has no bearing on your input. You can certainly weigh in. Just because you like someone from 20 year ago, with whom you have limited interactions- does not make you a credible character witness.
So that’s like a blog post from August. If you care to, you can read lengthy discussion on coth re the taekwondo case, as well as many others.
Did you want to offer comment on this blog post from August? Or did you just think it was important that we all read this blog post about due process?
Mmmmkay.
I am going to go out on a limb here (not really) and point out that this is a classic example of projection…
Recent article where Safesport failed to support the victims https://www.ocregister.com/2020/05/28/safesport-amy-nyman-made-gymnasts-feel-scared-degraded-and-humiliated/
Because the investigations take a long time, and some offenders dont receive the length of suspensions or penalties that the survivors would like.
Yep. Perfectly valid reasons to be upset, and not at all a negative reflection on the safe sport mission, but instead on the limitations it has.
Limitation that people like you would like to see expanded.
Do you understand how your kind of support isnt for survivors???
Did you read the article? It speaks for itself. I added nothing so why the finger-pointing? Are you ‘helping survivors’? Or just looking for a fight? The article speaks to the current short-comings of the SS process vis-a-vis the victims- mentioning among other things, “outing” their personal information.
I never claimed to be an SS expert. I am not even in the horse world anymore. My husband’s professional granddaughter and her husband were explaining some of the SS “rules” to me after i heard of this suspension. I called the 25 year old a girl. I call myself a girl too. Whatever the word a 25 year old is an adult. As far as my show record, good digging by the way (exactly why i exposed myself), i was not on the A circuit. My trainer and Tommy are friends. I have been to Devon, KY and Florida as a spectator and hung out in Tommy’s barns over a span of years. He showed my horse twice for me. You don’t need a lifetime friendship to get a feel for someone. Tommy is a gentleman, 70 years old and happily married. Just doesn’t add up to me. Could i be wrong? Sure. Get a judge and jury if you are going to “hang” the guy which a 3 year suspension will do to his livelihood. That is all i am saying. Period.
Larry Nassar was happily married, too.
I did read it, I don’t think you read it, I think you looked at it and saw what you wanted to see.
These people are willfully blind. The problem is it only hurts others.
