Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I’m still mulling ideas around. There are a lot of very nice stallions out there but it seems like the ones I really like are only available frozen and I just don’t want to try frozen with this particular mare.
If you need height, want to stay with AHS, and don’t want frozen, I agree with those who suggested Landkoenig. A bonus in case your mare isn’t easy to settle, is that Edgar is a dream to work with and his collection/shipping fees very easy on your budget.

I agree with you on that Tuckawayfarm, Edgar is certainly top notch. My other Hano mare is in foal to Wild Dance and it was wonderful working with Edgar to make it happen. My vet said he wished all stallion owners were as easy to deal with.
Edgar did suggest Pablito for this mare and I am considering him. However, I am thinking outside the box a bit. There are several other equally nice stallions, in particular a few Holsteiners, that I think would be a good cross for her too. Where I’m running into problems is finding one that is AHS approved and available fresh.
I’m also a bit picky about who is standing the stallion, availability of the stallion, what type of additional fees they have, etc. In that respect, Edgar did spoil me. Top notch service at very reasonable prices.

Yes they are prepping him for the winter season. He might debut smaller than the GP at first but will hopefully go back up to it. I saw him jump beautifully yesterday. I think they are also trying to finalize who gets the ride on him.

Raffaello looks interesting but I can’t find any information on him. The website seems to be down.
I do like Cathalido but he isn’t approved for AHS and is only available frozen.

Also consider Lagoheidor G. He is one of the 4 full brothers Landor S and Laertes (International SJs) and Landwerder (who did hunters, jumpers and GP dressage) and Lago himself jumped at FEI level before being taken to GP by his owner. He’s available fresh and is jolly fertile and approved AHS.

I’m sure you are all aware, but Lagoheidor and Landkoenig also share the same sire, Landadel. I am a big Landadel fan. I like dual talent stallions. And you can’t get much better than a dam that produced 4 approved stallions, imho.
What are the full bloodlines on the mare?
Sire is Kalypso, by Kronenkranich XX out of Guter Fang who is by Grandferdinand II.
Her dam is Princess Goya, by Prinz Gaylord out of Gifted by Grande.

He sure is a piece of eye candy. A friend is considering him to produce an event foal out of her Sandro Hit mare. Don’t laugh, the mare is a super jumper and is competing quite successfully in eventing (going at least Prelim and maybe even Intermediate by now - I’ll have to ask).
I’m not laughing at all. Would like to see the outcome of that cross.
Total eye candy. Agreed. When I was watching him in the ring, my mental soundtrack was 'I’m Too Sexy". He certainly came out more “holsteiney” in body type than the Conteur’s I’ve seen.
And speaking of Conteur sons…what ever happened to Confetti?

He is NOT a small stallion. :yes: Without seeing any mature offspring, I would bet he would add a little height. How much height he would add, you’d have to ask Klaus.

I have seen a good number of other Landkonig offspring and they all can jump.
I have a Landkoenig gelding, out of a Pablito/Kalypso mare. All the jump in the world, great technique, good movement, brave, and while green, is versatile enough to go in all 3 rings and do well. PM me if you want to see any photos/video.
Fourbeats, it sounds as though you have an Edgar-bred mare! Couer d’Amour is in the Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program, and I didn’t know that until I recently studied the current stallions.

You’re correct, Diane. She is from Edgar’s breeding program and I consider myself very lucky to have her. She is such a wonderful mare.
Check out Bosch Blue, just approved KWPN-NA jumper stallion (Mr. Blue x G Ramiro Z x Nimmerdor). He’s in Alberta…
