Tough day with cat seizures... R.I.P. Vivian Marie

I’m sorry. She was very beautiful, judging by that photo.

So very sorry for your loss. But what a terrific cat mom you were!

Goodbye, Vivian Marie. You were a good kitty.

So sorry for your loss. Hugs and jingles.

When I saw your post I got a big jolt because that is my sister’s name. It seems they had sweetness in common, you had a blessing. So sorry for your loss.

I’m so sorry to read your update, but I’m glad you were able to give her a peaceful end. It’s so hard when they fail :frowning:

(((HUGS))) to you.

I’m so sorry for your loss. You had a special relationship.

So very sorry for your loss. It is so hard to have to say good-bye to those we love so much.

Godspeed lovely Vivian Marie.

I’m so sorry for y’all’s loss. :frowning:

I’m so sorry for your loss. I went through something similar with my kitty, those seizures are scary. Sending hugs.

This has been a long weekend. My 88 yr old mother in law is also failing rapidly and has weeks, maybe days left and my husband and I are so worn out that either one of us is likely to break into gut wrenching sobs when anyone expresses sympathy over Vivi Marie. We each took a sleeping pill last night and I was drifting off I had a little dream of those seizures and the accompanying jolt of adrenaline.

I was just going through photos and I hadn’t noticed how thin she had gotten. I mean I knew the numbers but she was still sleak and shiney and up until days before this became noticeable she was still getting what I call the “zippy-zooms” and running and jumping just for the joy of it. I guess she really was beginning to fail and I’m sure it was the FIV catching up to her.

She was such a good cat. I could go on and on about the little things that would only mean a lot to my husband and I. He hadn’t had a pet since he was a kid and although he was not a cat person he said Vivi was the dog he never had. She was a full time house cat and he is retired so they spent a lot of time together and he talked to her and expected her to be obedient and she was his devoted companion. We took her outside every day weather permitting and she would walk the property with him and stick with us as we relaxed in the yard. She was opinionated and snooty and independent but she always did what she was told.

I put a few of my favorite photos of her up on the web:

With her sister Mitey Mite

Cuddling with Daddy

In the daylillies

In the tomato patch

She always loved flowers

Monopolizing Game Night

Thank you for sharing her beautiful photos, she was clearly so dear to both of you. I’m sorry for your loss.

Aww, I love ‘the zippy zooms’ - perfectly describes what we call ‘the kitty crazies.’ And that is a beautiful cat tree – very cool!

Aww, what a beautiful girl. It is obvious how much you both loved her. HUGS. And I am so sorry about your mother in law.

She looks like a character - love the Monopoly game. Clearly she was an excellent supervisor  I know you and your hubby will miss her terribly - those opinionated ones are something special.

She was a beautiful cat and I’m very sorry for your loss.

I’m sorry about your mother in law. It sounds like you and dh are in a very rough spot right now.

(((hugs))))
