Tractor replacement or repair

This has been a very positive experience with my local Deere place. They have gotten much, much better under a new manager. I’m coming out of this experience paying just about $300 bucks for yearly service and labor.

Their mechanics speculate that the clutch froze because the tractor had been sitting up all winter.

The “old guy” doesn’t live here anymore. He’s retired and moved away. I was very fortunate that he decided to come in for a visit when he did. I ought to get his address and write him a thank you letter. He certainly taught the current mechanics something new to them which they will remember forever.
