Canter Queen, did you get the house?

I was just wondering the same thing. Yoo hoo, Canter Queen!

Before we found our little piece of heaven here, we offered on a house in Clifton (Amkin!) but couldn’t come to terms with the sellers. We were pretty bummed at the time, but in the end it was absolutely the best thing. We couldn’t be happier where we are now.

I’m hoping she got it – but if not, it just means the perfect place is still out there waiting for her!

Hi Everyone!

Yes, we got the house!!! I’m so thrilled. I “met” one neighbor through this wonderful COTHer site and met her sister in-person. Fabulous horsey people. The whole process took a bit longer than I thought – competing bid, water/septic tests, home inspection, etc. But it will soon be ours after we close at the end of this month. We’re letting the sellers stay an extra month because they haven’t found a replacement home yet. We’re targeting May 1st for our move-in date. My boys are going to be sooooo happy in their new back yard.

Everyone – come on over for a BBQ – you bring dessert and I’ll do the BBQ.

Check out my youtube video

It was put together as a Christmas gift from our current barn ower (she’s a sweetie). Hubby and I are the couple racing towards the camera at about the 26 second mark. YeeHaw!!!

Congratulations, Canter Queen! You must be SO excited. Think I told you that the owner of that house before the current one is a good friend of mine, now living in upstate NY. I boarded a few of my horses there for a while, too. You can hear them in the barn from the master bedroom – the reason I know this is because the first night my girls were there, I got a call at midnight from my friend who was in a panic because she thought my little mare was colicking – banging around in her stall, making a terrible racket. Ah, no, she just likes to roll and occasionally gets almost cast. This same mare pulled this stunt on me last May at the exact moment my latest foal was being born in the next stall over – I think she was jealous of all the attention the broodmare was getting. Anyway, it’s a great property and I’m excited for you!

Lillypond,

I never thought about being able to hear the horses in the barn from the master bedroom – how cool is that? We are excited about moving in. From the COTHers I’ve heard from, it sounds like we will have some very nice neighbors.

And . . . we purchased a mini-donkey to keep the geldings company. We pick him up in April. This is just going to be toooooo much fun!
