Someone sent me a pm about the WERM product. I’m in NC and I saw there was a dealer in Virginia. I’m going to contact them.

I second the WERM flooring ! I had it installed in my custom built 4-Star and it is AMAZING!
If I were re-doing my floor I would use the WERM flooring. But I use pelleted bedding and it makes a big difference, as it absorbs so much better than shavings. I dump a bag of pellets in a muck bucket & add one bucket of water. Let it fluff up and then spread the result in the appropriate areas (back for mares, middle for geldings)
Thanks for all your help. I’m trying to see if I can get the WERM installed in my trailer, but the dealer is concerned that it won’t work because of a previous patch in my trailer floor. In the meantime, I trailered out today with the 3 bales of shavings and the center seam covered with a strip of duct tape. He peed like crazy, but it was all contained above the mats. And I had a blast doing something new - Mounted Archery!

I get bags of pelleted bedding from southern states for something like 6 bucks a bag. The pellets don’t need water ahead of time and do a great job of soaking up the pee.
