I just bought a used trailer (2H Gooseneck) from Yered Trailers in Medfield, MA. Trailer is in excellent shape and had pretty much everything I wanted. He was super easy to deal with and had a lot of trailers in stock, as well as the ability to custom order anything you want…I took a look at some custom trailers while I was there and there were some pretty neat configurations.

Willowdale Trailers is at the Essex County Coop in Topsfield – they sell Featherlite and Shadows, used to sell Valley. I haven’t bought from them, just ogled & chatted, and they’re always helpful. Now to just find that extra 10k . . .
Thank you… I was trying to remember their name… a friend bought a really nice Featherlite from them for a great price some years back.
Yered all day long. George is fabulous to deal with and incredibly knowledgeable.

not a gooseneck… how much do you think that would set someone back?
i know you don’t love slants (i don’t either) but if you’re wanting the possibility of bringing cheezit along for the ride looks like slants might be the only option… that was the only one i found that didn’t have the 2nd tack storage area in the loading area…
i don’t know if it’s just me but i HATE that feature in slant loads - it makes it so hard to get out especially in an emergency… and i’ve had more than one horse hit their hips on it going in/out.
ETA: just saw it is all aluminum… trailer mavens out there, is it still bad for trailers to be all alu?
Briggs Stable in Hanover, MA has been a Kingston dealer for decades. They do not have many on hand these days but still order them when people want them. They always had great prices, I am sure they still do. My Kingston is 13 years old and never an issue. They are well made trailers. I did hear they have a new version that is even lighter.
I used a dealer who has since retired, but between us we built a trailer I really love, with one exception.
Its a hawk gooseneck, 16ft stock style with dressing room. Because its an open stock style, I opted for both rear and off side ramps, which is amazingly convenient. The horse space is 16ft long, so I can make it a 2+1 very easily. The one thing I would change is the width, I wish I had gone for extra wide as well as extra tall.

I actually have been looking at these… but I WILL be the one paying for it and it might be out of my range. My mama always told me I had “Champagne taste on a beer budget”. :)
I was going to plug George Yered, too, having bought several from him, and called/emailed him with random questions over the years. I’ve been out of the biz for a while now, but loved my Trailers USA 2H I got from him back in the day. Don’t know if they’re still around, but at the time they were well built and not expensive for what you got.
I agree with Hilary, go to EA. I have seen great deals there, and you have tons to choose from. If you are looking for a used Kingston, call Ron’s Body Works in Plymouth. He completely rebuilt my used Kingston, as well as many friend’s Kingstons, and he sometimes has one in stock or knows of one for sale. He is the son of the guy who owned Kingston, so he knows the trailers inside and out.
