Just to follow up on this thread and all the helpful suggestions, I finally got my carriage trailer!
It’s a BP, 8’0 wide, 20’ floor length with a 60" side ramp. The center divider is on a track and sets in multiple positions: 50/50, 65/35 (mini box+ room for the scooter, great for long trips) and the divider locks down on either side to stage out of or bring a carriage in through the back ramp.Tie down rings on the floor (6) and stud doors like a true 2+1 instead of a side ramp option (to keep everything in out from under the feet of the horses), and for primitive camping I had them wire it with a 30 amp inlet plus outlets/lights inside. The other thing I added (and highly recommend) was a shelf above the windows in the nose. I can already tell that thing is going to be so useful.
So far I am in love! Here are the pics…

It’s my Last Trailer Ever, so it had to be amazing. But it is for an amazing pony (caution, shameless pony pic opportunity ahead)

I do like the shelf over the window idea!
Thank you for posting back, and all the good photos!
I’m off to my first-ever ADT this weekend and it was helpful to read through the thread, and see how you solved all the problems that I’ve been working on myself lately.
We’re at the marathon-in-truck-bed phase of this game which is fine… except my truck is a short short bed with a topper, so now one of my driving friends is towing the trailer with her ‘normal’ truck… if I get hooked on driving (which seems likely) I can see something like your clever trailer in my future!
And yes, you have an AP- Awesome Pony!
Best of luck in all your adventures-
Hah, I just saw the three duplicate threads. I wrote out one, posted it. It promptly disappeared into the internet ether and said my post was “unapproved”.
Well alrighty.
So I typed it out all over (and copied it before I posted it). Same thing happened again. At that point I thought maybe it had to do with the professional pics, even though I purchased them and have a credit tag on them, so I posted again without pics of AP and it worked. 2 days later ALL of them show up.
Anyway, the shelf might be the SMRTest thing I have ever come up with. I encourage anyone with a BP to put one in. I’m also going to attach a clothing rod to the bottom to hang stuff as well.
I love your new trailer and the super cool shelf you added. And your pony is adorable, quite worthy of such a nice trailer!
Congrats!! The trailer looks great and of course total cutness with your pony
Enjoy and hope to see you out there!
I suggest a stock/combo trailer. A front dressing room, 4’ on the floor with a big gooseneck that’ll hold an amazing about of stuff.
Have a trailer you can winch a carriage into it and lock it down (or when no carriage, you have several stalls for your horses.
That’s a good idea for many people, but for a variety of reasons laid out back in August, explicitly a solution that didn’t work for me. But it’s all good, I’m still in love with my new trailer!
I am fond of horse riding. Please tell me about school where teach riding. Thank you in advance.
Your information is helpful for me.
