She’s older than I guessed. Has had pups before, maybe multiple litters based on her teats. She’s super duper timid and anxious. Dh is coming with the mule to help me get her loaded up and home.

She’s lovely! I wish I could take her in. Too far and we already have an older female.

I actually have TWO fosters now. One is a funny leggy short haired mix puppy (Polly) and now this girl (Pepper). She has lunged at Polly through the wire a time or two, which isn’t a bad lesson for the Polly girl to learn. This old chicken run she’s in is secure and dry, and large enough for me and DH to set up chairs in here with her. She is looking more mellow everytime I come in here and wagging her nub.

She’s doing great. I’ve renewed my social media efforts to find her people. I’m not hopeful. She is relaxing more each day and loves her walks on a long line ( I see you, hay string that wraps a 21 bale bundle). She’s adjusting to my dogs well, but the cats are an unknown. She is going to need a new zip code, I really am full.

I love reading your updates! I have a feeling you are the chosen one and she might not accept others as freely as y’all.

It’s just beyond my scope. These two are just the latest. Pepper and Polly.

I know you said she was dumped, but any chance she has a microchip?
Best of luck with her.

I’ll get her checked later this week.

Pepper is still here. She’s upset that I was in Chicago for a few days; she bopped me with her nose but wouldn’t let me pet her upon arriving home. She’s a good, kind dog but she’s not my sort of dog. I continue to try to source a farm family for her.

Polly the rubbery puppy has stolen DH’s heart. That’s fine. She’s a funny thing and very smart.
