Treating myself - what would you get?

Yes! I think mine were from Hyperlitre, but it was 2 for $80.

So I finally got my lights hung. And best of all I already had them. I was using shop lights in the basement for a plant shelf, so I took two of them and hung them in the barn.

I’m about to go out and feed in the dark and I’m very excited about it

And, more money for boots.

And again, I came in from the barn and didn’t want to. Now remember, this “barn” is a tiny 12x20 shed that I have retrofitted. It serves my needs really well, but it’s not a fancy place. Putting these lights in makes it so much more inviting. I groomed, puttered, fed etc and it felt very much like a real barn.

Whoever said I would wonder how I operated in the dim for so long is right. Love my lights!

A Bemer blanket for myself. (The barn has one and charges $30 per month for its use.)

For your feet, rather than the toe warmers, get the full insole version! I like them so much better. Sometimes with the toe warmers I get sweaty toes and then cold toes. Also, they feel weird just under your toes. With the whole insole, it’s an even layer so much more comfortable, and I feel like my foot is just warm all over and doesn’t get sweaty.

Pro tip - when done using your hand/toe/foot warmers, stick them in a sealed ziplock bag. That will deactivate them. When you want them again, take them out and they will reactivate. My last pair of hand warmers lasted me about 4 days doing this as I usually use them about 1 hour 2x a day.

Now that winter is truly here, my thoughts are of infrared heating units for the area over the wash stall.
