Tucci half chaps.. anyone have?

I am very close to swearing off all half chaps, however I’m considering giving the Tucci half chaps a try. Just looking for feedback, if any of you have them.

Hi, not sure if you have tried them yet but I absolutely love my Treadstep half chaps. I wear a tall/slim and they fit great, are tall enough for my leg, and I can lock my leg on easily. They provide great grip and have lasted a long time. I actually bought mine used just to see if i liked them and i still use those same hald chaps. I think the only thing that is broken is one of the snaps on the bottom of the zipper. But my puppy kind of got ahold of that part ??

Yes… I have gone through 3 or 4 pairs of Tredstep half chaps in the last few years. : / I’ve had several different styles and they have always broken down on me within 6mos to 1 yr. The two styles that I’ve had that zipped in the back of the calf have had a zipper break. Then I switched to the Tredstep deluxe thinking that the side zipper would help that. The bottom snaps on each have gone. Additionally, I found that those stretched out horribly.
I actually take very good care of my tack, too. I swear! :frowning:

We are a Tucci dealer. The half chaps are just like the boots, durable and look fabulous. The key is to make sure you buy them with a Paddock boot that is not bulky at the ankle as the fit is as close to custom as it gets. The look is beautiful. Full elastic panel at the back make them very comfortable.

I have a friend who has them. They’re beautiful and look lovely. From far away they look like tall boots. She loves them.

While I’m a size 2p in clothes I have the dreaded short wide calf (per equestrian world). No off the shelf tall boots for this lady. The saddlery I went to knew exactly the right product for me. The Tucci Harley paddock boot and half chap combo. Love love love them! Together they look like I’m wearing tall boots, very elegant, plus I don’t have to worry about drop from ankle sag. They are tight to zip the first few wears then no problem. They are shaped so they taper nicely to hug the ankle. And I wear the paddock boots on their own, in the barn or even out and about with my skinny jeans. Get loads of compliments  from my non horsey friends.

The quality of the leather is terrific. The only problem I’ve ever had was when my bulldog enjoyed one of my half chaps as a chew toy  and chomped through a zipper. I had the zipper replaced and it’s like new.

So big thumbs up!

I don’t own Tucci half chaps but I have two pairs of their paddock boots and LOVE them. I probably would buy a pair if I lived near a dealer where I could have them properly fitted (I ordered my boots from Malvern Saddlery in PA).

I owned a pair of Tredsteap half chaps and they stretched out so bad in six months that I could no longer wear them.

My current pair is a pair of custom Pinnells which have also stretched out but they are 8 years old. I sent them in recently to have the zipper pulls replaced. If I have the stretch panels replaced I suspect they’ll last another 5-10 years. I think it pays to buy really good quality or you should plan on replacing every 2-3 years.

I love my Tucci half chaps–they’re beautiful and look like tall boots. If you want something that holds up with less of a price tag, the EGO 7’s that are by Tucci have great inner panels that take more wear and tear.

They look like tall boots from far enough away, I desperately want a pair. I’ve heard good things about the Parlantis as well.

Absolutely love mine! Will never have anything else and I am hard on my stuff and ride 1-2 5-6 days a week and they still look new!

A girl in a barn has them and like others have said, they look like lovely tall boots unless you’re up close to them. I know she’s had them a while, but she only rides 2-3x a week so I am not sure how rugged they are. But they look great

Don’t have the half chaps but I bought a pair of Tucci dress boots for schooling a few months back and love them!

I am tough on boots. And very hard to fit, with an exceedingly narrow heel and teensy ankles. My Tuccis are off-the-rack and fit like a glove. And so far I can ride, muck, sweep, bathe and wander through snow without an issue.

I got mine from Blueberry Hill. They are currently in Ocala.
