Ultimatedressage.com - can you get in???

I know Suzy accepts Paypal. Just send $ to the email address that comes up when you go to the UDBB. I just sent a little… Good idea!

siberian husky …had one of those guys and they can trot a line for days then all of a sudden look up and wonder just where are they. Mine was very playful and always out looking about… he never had a sense of Home

That is one reason we went to GSDs

still jingling

Zin - it can be terrifying when your dogs go stray. My best guess is that a passing car picked them up, if they are friendly with strangers and would hop into an offered car! I will say a little prayer for their safe return home. I did lose a dog that way, he went stray with his dad, Someone picked up Dad, and put in a found ad, but whomever found the son realized what a terrific dog he was and chose NOT to respond to ads, or flyers. Its been a long time, and I still miss him. Of course, I had not replaced his collar which had broken just a couple weeks before. My mistake. Do your kids have ID tags on? If not, then get an ad in the local papers, and tell the local shelter you are looking for two lost children and Keep Calling in the woods. Miracles happen many times with missing dogs - more often than the sad stories like mine. So, my heart feels your pain, and my soul wishes you a happier ending.

Re - contributions to UDBB - Yes, great idea - anyone care to post the appropriate email address? See you all at home base soon.

scruffythecat - can you please clarify?

You might want to check before you start sending donations for Suzy’s treatment program. I believe in the past MS has declined/discouraged donations, except maybe some food & beverage.

zinn - I’m jingling like mad for your puppies to come home quickly and safely.

Oh I thought Suzy was a hostage that was hauled off after some one put some of that GHB, rohypnol or ketamine into her drink and now wanted big bucks to release her

I bet long about now that “beverage” stuff would be really welcome

along with a few crowbars, sledgehammers, or maybe even explosive devices

Well, I will praise the “ODGs” (as so many like to refer to them. Personally I find that reference a bit disrespectful - and don’t like to refer to them in that way - what if they’re listening?!?). The “old masters” know a heck of a lot more than I ever will, so praise be to them (and the trumpets shall sound!)! I will never be a priest on a pulput whipping the poor dressage junkies, seeing as how I AM a poor dressage junkie! And it also doesn’t make any sense for one priest to whip another does it? Get’s you in trouble in church! Not that anyone would ever mistake me for a priest. Especially if they’ve ever seen me ride . . . time for a flogging.
Carry on . . .

:lol::lol::lol:

As for the paypal…we’ll have to do SOMETHING! We can work that out tomorrow (crossing fingers and toes)

Zinnia…jingling! Maybe they’ve seen too many Disney/animal movies! Keep us updated.

I heard it was Suzy’s thyroid that did her in.

WAHHHHH I miss my UDBB!

Zinnia, jingles for your pups. (((((((hugs)))))))

Has any one heard from sac and Jedders??? I’ve been worried about them and also I want to say a big thank you to her for her wonderful Koolaide, Moonpie and Corn Nuts care package!!!

Still jingling for Zinnia’s errant hounds!

I have been wondering the same. Hope things are going well.

Zinnia, any word on the pups yet?

sunday morning- still no UDBB. not funny anymore. tremors. sweating. Call out to DIGIHORSE- can’t you zip over and help Mark with your cyberchipheadgeniusmadskills?

Digi is already on the case-- see the reference two pages back about a “wonderfully giving person in CA” who’s helping. They don’t call her Digi for nuttin’.

As for the paypal, well, I could very well be imagining things but I seem to recall that Mark has always said no to fundraisers (bumper stickers, tshirts, etc) just because they’re a ton of work & don’t generate much $$, and said if we were desperate we could just $ to paypal for him. But like I said, I could be COMPLETELY misremembering this. If so, please, no offense meant.

That being said, his email addy is on the UDBB site frontpage, even right now. If you go into Paypal, you can choose a ‘send $ to a person’ and it allows you to put an email addy in. If you put mark’s email addy, it comes up as a valid paypal person and you can send whatever $ you want.

That being said, I suppose that one of us should ask Mark directly if this is ok. I didn’t and maybe I did a whoops. Wouldn’t be the first time. [I need the embarrassed emoticon here].

Is Mark into Microbrewed beer? I seem to remember he is but I’m not sure. Can someone tell me for sure?

And what’s the name of his farm?

I think Mark wont accept any financial donations and will probably shudder at the more mention of them.

But, why cant we send care packages to Suzy? Nice wines and cheeses from california, crabs and homards from Maine, Barbecue from Memphis, Wild Burbon from Kentucky etc…That ought to cheer him and evelyn?

Spotted Dick from the UK!

I did offer goop…

I have a can of that sitting in my cupboard!!!

I think “gifts” are a much better route. But poor digi. Anyone know how to send her a care package?

Your post gave me a good laugh! I think what Sabine was trying to say is there is no room on TOB for progression in this art we all love. Styles of horses change, discoveries are being made, life in the dressage world is not stuck in the ODG’s word. I have great respect for the ODG’s as I’m sure Sabine does too, it is just another world with different, and sometimes better, ability of the horse and rider. If you are always a slave to your opinions, you will never be flexible in your training. If you free yourself from the ODG’s every now and again, you might find something on your own that works the best for you and your horse.

What if those who are willing to donate all buy a gift certificate from the same place and send it to him…nice tack is very expensive…any ideas? If enough of us spent 10-20 dollars that could really add up!

100 baskets of wine and cheese might be a little overwhelming…besides, we don’t want ANY alcohol laying around Suzy’s house
