Hey Sannois, what makes the UDBB great is that you can post just about anything on the Observation Lounge forum!!! As you mentioned earlier, a barn cat topic got shut down here!
Both are good BB’s and both have their share of great people and PITA people as we both encountered at another bb.

Since I can’t post on UDBB, please, please jingle for my Miss Money Pit. She is being bred for the LAST time this weekend.
Sannois, I periodically check COTH and UDBB, less in the summer, usually when the dog is eating her dinner (she won’t eat if I’m not sitting right here - LOL spoiled dog :rolleyes:). Retirement keeps me too busy to check in regularly.

It’s the fact that you can post about anything and even extremely personal problems are met with compassion and wisdom. Cookery and counselling, dressage and drive-us-crazy families (that was pushing the alliteration somewhat, sorry!). And I think we genuinely care about eachother in a hormonally-charged way; though that may be the case on this board too, I haven’t looked around loong enough to tell. Before we congregated here in our exile (thank you so much for the hospitality) I was really missing my friends!

So this is where you have all come to roost for a bit I wondered where everyone had gone…
On UDBB the horse is a part of our family and often not the central figure. The horse is woven into the fabric of the members and is just as much essential as breathing …but often has to be set aside because other matters require attention also.
Rather than running off to a board elsewhere, we talk through problem and issues of the day with the family that cares and knows about the stupid stuff that can and does happen and how it all intertwined in a big ball of mess.

Well I was waiting to post a show brag, but in the interest of insuring this is a horse related thread, Mister got a 70% on T1 and 71.3% on T2. As soon as I can do a run thru of T4 in a regulation arena we will move up to that!

Awesome scores. DD for some reason did better at T4 then T2. Hopefully, it will be a walk in the park for you.

Well my thread on ‘needs help with counter canter to medium canter’ was JUST getting really interesting, lots of replies and the beginning of controversy when … poof … it all disappeared and now my show is tomorrow and help is nowhere to be found…

And my mare is now successfully going barefoot and we start back in the saddle next week.
And I haven’t been able to poke fun at Amercians in a a whole week (Bad me bad me bad me bad me)
And I haven’t been able to drool over a nice 52 MG
And I forget how to make a Saddlebred martini
AND…I am seriously hunting for a lease (or maybe purchase) of a horse for my daughter since her lease fell through…no UDBB to help me out there sigh

A really big thanks to COTH for not shutting this down as Non Horse Related. They have been remarkably tolerant.
