I too would have to underscore the possibility of a mustang due to the one I have (and past ones). In the end your friend needs to send her list out to everyone with horses in her size range and with the level of training she needs. It’s all about networking, networking, networking and less about the ‘brand oops I mean breed’. As always, focus on three pure gaits and the must haves…I actually consider myself lucky to be owned by a breed and type because it does narrow down what I’ll consider (thus maybe a bit easier).

Morgan or Saddlebred, absolutely. Saddlebreds were specifically bred for smooth, comfortable gaits. Big-time people-pleasers, very game and forward and fun.
