Today I took the remaining RC Renal to the shelter.
& As long as I was there, asked if there were any Srs.
Meet Milo

6yo, had a BFF who he met at the shelter about a month ago. That cat got adopted
Which tells me Milo may not be at all adverse to becoming Bounce’s new Bestie
Online application submitted.
I admit I had a bit of fun with that, listing under Other Pets not only Bounce, but all 3 horses & the chickens
I’ll followup Monday (app says to allow 3-4 Business Days), but I think it’s kind of a Slamdunk

Just got off the phone with the shelter.
Phone interview as a follow-up to my online application.
I have a date to meet Milo IRF(ur) next Wednesday

Blip on the radar yesterday when I missed their call & VM asked me to verify Bounce was neutered & vaxed.
I called, left VM advising my records showed he had 5yr rabies November 2019 AND he’d come from their shelter July 2015, neutered!

Milo came home with me today.
He’s on ABX/clavamox for a suspected UTI for 2wks, then I’ll bring him back to the shelter to be rechecked.
They’ve decided this will be a Foster to Adopt as he’s been surrendered back twice for his litterbox issues. They said he does well with a covered box & I stopped at the TSC on my way home & Huzzah! there was a covered box on sale.
Bounce is not pleased, but it’s Day One & aside from being very vocal, no paws have been thrown.
Milo has mostly ignored the Opera, did hiss back a couple times, but not overly aggressive.
He’s come to me a couple times, otherwise scoping things out.
Hoping for Peace to reign.

Oh I am so sorry to hear this! Stripes was so grateful to you for letting him live out his last year in comfort and love. His poor little body just gave out, but I love how he made sure to say thank you to you before he passed. You did well by him.

How is Milo doing?

He’s a sweethesrt, if a bit vocal
So I’ll end up with 2 Mouths on Wheels
Getting comfortable roaming the house.
Eating, drinking, using both litterboxes.
He’s claimed the pillows stacked on my bed as His.*
But he totally ignores Bounce’s Song of Hate.
That happens whenever Milo approaches the DMZ - hallway into the LR
But lately, Bounce sometimes keeps it to a low mumble. Or even forgets to do it.
Still no engagement, just Sound & Fury - all from Bounce.
So… PROGRESS

*I’ve been sleeping on the couch with Bounce.
To give them both some personal territory.
& Because 2-3 nights of 7 I end up there anyhow
This coming week I might try using my bed.

And yay about Milo! He is very handsome. He is a true orange marmalade. That comment about the “song of hate” made me laugh.
