Update: Rest in peace sweet Leonard. Vets or anyone : fever/anorexia in 5 month old kitten

Continued jingles! It just struck me that when you said he grinds his teeth when he eats, that’s so similar to horses with ulcers. Has he been scoped for ulcers? It would be odd for a kitten, but I guess nothing’s out of the question.

The best thing is that he’s got a good attitude - as long as he keeps that, you’ve got a chance.

He has not had a scope but we did start 1/4 tab of Pepcid AC per day about a week ago.

Len is day 7 of PI. He is more interactive, seems more like a cat but none of that has translated into increased eating. He is gaining weight (because of syringe feeding) and generally seems to be feeling better. It is reported to take 2-3 weeks for a noticeable change. Fingers crossed.

Fingers crossed for Leonard!

You might try adding a bit of plain yogurt and a probiotic to help his guts. Antibiotics take a toll.

Go, Leonard! You are one tough little cat.

We did while he was on antibiotics but he has been off a month.

More jingles for Leonard.

We put Leonard to sleep today. His dry FIP had turned to wet FIP and the vet felt he had 2-3 weeks tops left. He was having a good day and was not in distress. Wet FIP is a bad way to go and I wasn’t going to put him thru that. He was 7 months old.

Oh no! Poor Leonard!!:frowning: Life sucks sometimes! Sorry CindyCRNA- I know you did EVERYTHING you could!

So sorry!
