Wrong. Yet again. The Judge represents the State and not LK. Schellhorn represents the People of the State of NJ. Not LK. It is the States responsibility to safeguard the people as a whole. Had LK not lived in FL Barisone could still not leave NJ. The NJ mandate is so MB can continue to be monitored. LKs habitat has zero to do with it.
When he didnāt get a prison sentence for the incident, Lala wanted to equate hospitalization with a prison sentence, and release with parole, and wanted to believe that he would be in hospital for as long as he would have been in prison if convicted. Also that release from hospital would follow the same procedures as parole complete with victim impact statements being central.
By conflating hospitalization with prison, Lala could maintain that she had still āwonā the case.
Thatās not how hospitalization works. Itās not meant to be punitive (however much it may be de facto punitive in effect).
Itās been pretty obvious that this has been one of her main narratives since the trial.
Many people who have been victims of crime want to see the person they believe responsible punished, and fight hard against parole, or release from hospital if that was the outcome. This can be true even in situations where the wrong person was arrested and convicted. Or when the incident was an accident. They also get very outspoken when the convicted person serves their term and is released after say 20 years. Itās constant background noise on our local news media.
Anyhow Lala wanting MB to be locked up forever is pretty standard rhetoric from someone in her position, indeed itās what Iād expect. Obviously most victims, or their grieving parents (our wonderful child was stolen from us but this drunk driver is free to walk the streets) are more sympathetic and less BSC than Lala and crew. But itās a very common position.
I dunno. She has been bragging, boasting and wallowing in the pleasure of that all over SM. I am sure it was bragged about to 48 Hours and Netflix as well. You can ask her that question - maybe on her FB page or on Youtube.
No freaking kidding!
Why on earth would he even want to contact her?? I think that the reverse should be of far more concernā¦ because no one puts Baby in a corner.
Schadenfreude would be a great name for a dressage horse.
OMG. You win the internet today.
It is my perception that for some posters, they think that their unloading of hate and abuse on LK is somehow helping MB.
As I read through this thread, it strikes me that the posts are, well were, overwhelmingly a celebration that MB has been released and can move on with his life. There had been barely any mention of LK until YOU decided to jump in and, once again, try to defend her from criticism of her despicable actions.
If you think the discussion should move past LK, stop bringing her up. If she doesnāt like the negative attention she should stop spewing venom all over social media.
You guys are missing the plot.
MB was vindicated and won.
He survived hell and came out the victor, despite an entire familyās every effort to stop that.
Take a moment to relish in that. Donāt let one poster sabotage the moment.

I think this was intentional misdirection, not error.
Oh well. I would imagine the appeal will be decided soon. And maybe this whole NJ requirement will just go POOF!
And then this whole argument will be done and dusted.
We will have to wait and seeā¦ fingers crossed.
Pony must say that I am very excited that MB is writing a book and I for one cannot wait to curl up in a nice fluffy bed of straw and read each and every page.
I know!
We are going to have to have a big book discussion thread when it comes out.
I am very happy that Michael is released. Iām also reveling in the fact that all the details of what wasnāt allowed in the trial may be coming out. The things that will hopefully show what a farce the trial and verdict really was. I feel that will vindicate Michael even more in the future.
AND we are all going to have to have a Netflix viewing thread!
Episode by episode.
I wonder how many they will do, and over what time period?
And the lifetime movie will have to have a viewing party as well.
I hope one of those pays out big $$ for Barisone.
The truth will set him free. Eventually.
He is much closer to the finish line. Thank goodness!
Itās interesting to me that the Ks decided not to attend this hearing, but Netflix was thereā¦interviewing those who showed up in support of MB. Iāll be very interested to see if this ends up like the 48 hours episode where Ks refuse to even discuss the incident and they come out looking bad.
As for the idea that the Kās may try to do something to further bother Michael, I would 100% guarantee he will have enough friends around him to make sure that does not happen. He has more REAL friends than
LK has Facebook friends.
Thank you cutter99 for being there yesterday
Of course in this day and age, as I understand it there are cameraās everywhere and I would think turned on and working.
Remember humans smile for your close up.
And the lifetime movie will have to have a viewing party as well.
I hope one of those pays out big $$ for Barisone.
Will there be a cheesy, sappy Hallmark movie as well? Although I think we can all write the basic plot for any Hallmark movieā¦
So why would MBs conditional release be at any risk in relation to comments on social media made by random people, if Judge Taylor is so professional and fair? That makes no sense whatsoever.
Now youāve done it. Asked for a logical explanation for that which defies logic, and from someone who wouldnāt know logic if it bit him in the a**.
I was happy to hear MB is writing a book. Does anyone know if itās about this tragedy?
Wahooooooooo
I was happy to hear MB is writing a book. Does anyone know if itās about this tragedy?
I did hear yesterday that it is.
