Hopefully my last update.
We finally have solid poop. Consistently!
She’s on science diet puppy sensitive stomach of all things, but she tolerated it immediately and is comfortable and happy (we still did a slow transition).
The limited ingredient salmon was a fail (she never got more than 2 tablespoons of it before liquid diarrhea) and went back to just chicken and rice (we concluded she was fine with chicken) for a week. The SD? Tolerated it right away. Easiest transition and she’s up to her full amount and off chicken/rice. She’d probably be fine on the regular puppy SD (what she came on from the rescue), but we’re happy with the sensitive stomach.
Sometimes a food just agrees with a dog. Is it my favorite? No. I am not a SD fan, but I’m willing to feed whatever will keep her happy and comfortable.
