I despise USRider! We’ve needed them twice and both times service has been awful.
The first time I needed them the brakes failed on my truck as we were getting on the highway. We were stranded on the side of the on ramp for hours while they tried to get help. A friend had offered to come get our horse but since traffic was whizzing by we hoped to avoid unloading/loading in that situation. When USRider finally got back to us they announced it was going to cost us $900 out of pocket to have the truck and trailer towed with the horse in it. 😱 Luckily our nice policeman came back at that moment to check on us (again) and he offered to wait for our friend to arrive so he could stop traffic. So in about a half hour daughter and horse were safely on their way home while I wait for the tow truck driver. I learn from this driver that USRider does not have a list of horse savvy providers but rather just googled until they found someone willing. This is ridiculous since we are in a very horsey area.
Fast forward to two weeks ago when we arrive at a show and as am dropping the trailer at remote parking I see that the tire has a chunk out of it. After thanking my lucky stars we made it safely, I go back to the show and call USRider to let them know that we need a tire change. My husband insisted he could just change it but no, I insist USRider deserved a second chance. Three hours later I call again. They apologize for the delay but the provider is definitely coming. From the City. Makes no sense but okay. Call again a few hours later. They are so sorry but the provider cancelled and they didn’t know. This is after they promised to keep on top of things for me. It is now 5:15pm on a Saturday. Operator offers to find someone else to come. I laughed and told her not to bother. So my husband got to be right and he changes the tire after all.
After each incident we get a survey to fill out. We give them a horrible review and bad comments. We get a form apology and a few month extension. Woohoo. Glad to hear that people are happy with Trailguard that is who we will be using from now on.
