Awesome thank you! I’m going to call the vet Monday and see if they have used that brand on him in the past or not, if not I’ll see if they have it or buy it myself for them to do and cross my fingers.
Interesting. Thanks!
My horse the reaction was the whole horse blew up with hives, everywhere. Then the legs got huge, even with meds on board and then we ended up with laminits.
The next time (two years later) when we tried just one vaccine, with pre-treatment, we thought everything was fine but it was not. No hives that time but clearly uncomfortable, backing up, kicking at their belly, acting like there was no comfortable way to stand anywhere.
This horse had never had any vaccine reaction(s) before this.
This is why I have all my vaccines done by the vet. Things can go from nothing to something serious in a very short time.
No luck, he had Vetera last spring. We’re going to go with the IN flu/rhino which he doesn’t react to at least, and try the Zoeitis Core. They said we could just do this once a year vs spring and fall so that would be a win.
Do note that Zoetis is the old Fort Dodge. A LOT of horses had reaction issues with Fort Dodge.
Yours, of course, may not. But if there are any other options you haven’t tried before, it might be worth exploring those before exploring Zoetis.
We have reacted to everything since I have had him (2020); Im not expecting this to be much different honestly. If I can get him down to once a year though, that would be an improvement.
