IMO, the best dressage horses are bred to JUMP! Valegro is no exception - definitely bred to jump well. I always said I bred jumpers for dressage. Nice form, super knees, and bascule!
I doubt that even the godly could maintain the correct jumping position with those knee blocks.
CSI*5 Carrer anyone?
Americans are just about the only nation who obsesses over jump position (hunters, eq) to the virtual exclusion of other concerns, so Charlotte would probably find this conversation confusing or ridiculous;)
this thread is why sometimes I hate COTH.
Itâs the influence of that Morris person. Most of the EFFECTIVE jump riders in the world would have been abused by him! Mind you, most of the riders in the world do not participate in that prissy âhunterâ stuff.
The best way to treat them is to allow them to be fit and happy horses. That means lots of green and varied activity. No argument.
Totally agree ! But a lot of people get paranoid.
Iâve had $2 million race horse colts out in 50 acres paddocks with a friend or two. They are so much happier.
P.
oh you mean like the majority of australians do?
(majority meaning elite riders who have their own property - and I canât think of a single one who doesnât have their own place!)
us normal isnât even close to whatâs normal in even europe, let alone the antipodes
go char, go carl go valegro
whaaa?
canât be a joke, because that would require having a sense of humour
