Very premature foal

The cynical part of me wonders if she never thought he’d survive this long, but since it turned out she could monetize his “progress” and gain social media notoriety, she kept at it. And now… he’s all hers to deal with, such as he is. (Poor, unfortunate creature).

Wow, all the comments on a couple of those Reddit threads are deleted.

I’m super unhappy with this whole situation but really dislike cutting down women over their appearance.

Someone can show up disheveled and unethical, hollywood glamour and above approach, and anything in between. Using appearance as a barometer for values perpetuates a lot of falsehoods that don’t help anyone.

That “getting ready to go pick up 7” video soundes to me like someone preparing the way for the inevitable misfortune that requires euthanasia.

I am nervous…
up until now if anything had happened the vets were right there…
I don’t know everything…
his social media videos paid for all his care

Along with the reassurances that :
he can get up and down. he is self sufficient
I know he’ll be okay

Me too. My 92 yr old mom won’t leave the house without makeup. For some women it’s like going out naked.

Well, now I see that the comments on Reddit are back up. Maybe it was just a momentary glitch.

The latest comments on this thread show that women are dammed if we do and dammed if we don’t. Who cares about makeup.

No issues with her doing what she needs to be comfortable in her own skin. I appreciated that she acknowledged the difficulties in bringing him home and she kept going due to clicks.

While I don’t think it should have gotten this far, at least he is with someone that has the resources needed to keep his somewhat safe and under eyeballs/cameras.

Thank you for totally missing the point of my comment. Did you watch the video where she commented on her appearance herself?

She was doing her make up specifically because she knew there would be photo ops. One of the first things she says in the video. Seven gives her reasons for photo ops. She makes her living off her appearance and the fact she has garnered public sympathy for that poor colt.

You do you. I’ll do me. Again, thank you!

In another snap she said she spent upwards of 200k in vet bills.

There are a couple Reddit subs discussing her and Seven, plus other aspects of her social media presence. The one that was posted is the kinder of the ones I’ve read. But Reddit is a good place to see her posts without giving her clicks. Both subs that I read do talk about a lot of her horse keeping, and her followers.

I had to comment.

He is not thriving, he’s a train wreck. He’ll never have a normal life

I’m sure I’ll get hated on

I realize this sort of topic has been discussed before. It’s her money and apparently she has access to gobs of it, so she can spend it how she chooses. Yet still, considering the circumstances and the end result, it leaves me a little breathless.

That popped up on my Facebook feed and I had to add a few comments. Let’s just say I’m not very well liked on that feed..

Agreed. If she wanted to spend a million dollars it’s her prerogative but looking at the final product, it is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on an animal with such a poor prognosis & poor quality of life.

That is quite a sum of money. :flushed:

All her social media accounts are monetized so Seven helped raise funds for his care in TN.

In light of the near $2K bill I got for 4 days - 3 in isolation - when my mini presented with a NQR* last year, not unreasonable for a year’s stay with all the Bells & Whistles.
Like Seven, he was also at a teaching college.

*Final diagnosis :woman_shrugging:
Tested negative for everything, only treatment was IV fluids.
Discharge instructions were take him home & do what you’ve been doing.

ETA:
@CindyB59 That link took me to a news story/video, but before it started my phone went all RED ALERT! warning me about a virus

The article says “heartwarming.” :roll_eyes:and there’s already 1.7k comments on the Facebook post all in favor of extending Seven’s suffering for as long as possible. He should have been euthanized immediately.

I can’t believe in the year 2025 we’re still cutting down women for how they look.

Like, there are many valid reasons to dislike her and what she’s doing for this poor horse, and you chose to lead with her appearance.

I can’t believe it is 2025 and people are choosing to read that post as @cutter99 cutting down someone for how they look.

:man_shrugging:

That is not how I read it at all.

I read it that it seems weird that she (the person who owns this poor tortured yearling) felt it was normal to make a video of herself talking about her horse while doing her make-up.

I am fine with her wearing make-up, or not wearing make-up or looking however she wants to look, I just think she is rude for using this horse this way, and combining her make-up applicating with ‘look at me, getting ready for the photo opportunities while picking up my click getting horse’ was just more of her being tacky.

That may have been the intention, but KVS did say she was getting up at 3am, or had to leave at 3am, and this may have been the only time she had to record the video before leaving. I’ve seen enough videos of comments made while doing makeup that I’m guessing it’s a normal thing in the creator world.
