Veterinarian Proudly Shows Off Cat She Killed

I have a nephew who hates cats and would intentionality kill one but he’s a psychopath in other ways too. I think people who set leg traps are psychopaths too.
I have also wondered if the reaction would have been the same if she’d held a snake with an arrow through it. A spider or cockroach with a dart pinning it to the floor.
Well, no. A cat has an ability to be social with humans in a way a reptile or an insect doesn’t. This makes us like them more. Which is reasonable.

Anyone else wonder what this sociopath does that she DOESN’T post on Facebook? Like when she’s at the vet clinic, alone with client’s pets?

My vet cried last year when we determined the road turtle I’d brought in - we estimated him to be about 30 years old - had to be put to sleep. This piece of crap does not deserve to share that title with the thousands of caring, dedicated, animal-loving vets in the world.
^^This.^^^

This beeoytch had better leave Texas and change her name. Her working life is done here.

And who ms Lindsey’s home town paper sees this http://www.greybullstandard.com/?p=3367

This part is intriguing

Barbara Anne Greene of Basin, the founder of Felines and Friends, offered a view of the Lindseys that runs counter to what is being published on Facebook.

“This is so sad for everyone. You are going to have people say it is just a cat but those same people would have a fit if someone did that to their dog or other pet,” said Greene. “Jack Lindsey has brought many a stray kitten to Felines and Friends. They love their animals. That is what makes it harder to believe. A bad decision can change a lot of lives in just an instant.”

An instant? she aimed (one instant) she fired (another instant) she posed (another instant) she posted (another instant) and bragged she was awesome (another instant) It’s far more than an instant. I have a sneaking suspicion the Lindseys have a lot of pull in Greybull if even the local feline rescue is trying to be forgiving.

The most recent news story I can find says that the remains of the cat are unaccounted for… whaaaa…?
How is it that the remains are unaccounted for, such that identifying the cat as Tiger or not, and how he was killed can be ascertained?

Here’s your answer to that, referring to Kristen Lindsey’s mother, Becky Lindsey:

Becky is among Big Horn County’s longest tenured department heads. After 14 years as the deputy county treasurer, she ran for the top job in 1994 when incumbent George Hoffman did not seek re-election. Becky emerged from a crowded field of four candidates to win the GOP nomination that year. She has not lost an election since, winning her first term in the 1994 general election and re-election in 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010 and, most recently, in 2014, when she ran unopposed.

I actually find this statement very professional of the cat rescue.

They are not saying what this person did was OK.

If they consider leg trapping a cat and shooting it in the head to be a bad decision I really don’t trust them with any animals welfare as their empathy is not with the animal but with the perpetrator. Bad decision is red wine with white fish, not leg trapping your neighbor’s cat and as it looks to you, a human, to help it out shooting it in between the eyes with a cross bow. That goes way beyond bad decision. Then to brag and post about it. Sorry it takes a special kind of person to do that and for a local cat shelter to just dismiss it as a bad decision. They’d be off my donation list.

ETA I just have to wonder if the kittens her father brought in had had their mother killed by KL (I really can’t stand to even type her name).

It all becomes ever more horrifying. Any rescue capable of chalking this killing up to a bad decision deserves to be crucified on social media, along with losing donations.

Destruction of evidence.

Destruction of evidence/obstruction of justice/etc.

I do not find it professional. I find it to be supportive and excuses the conduct of the abusers.

Agree.

As one of my very wise ACO colleagues put it:

Few people are able to pinpoint that exact moment in their life where they managed to destroy any chance at a future career. Often, it is a progression of events, situations or actions that lead collectively to that outcome. In this case, Thursday April 16, 2015 at 8:48pm is the time her future pretty much ended. Sad.

Can you imagine - going through all that school, probably ending with a massive student loan debt, and then doing this? She will NEVER be able to work as a vet again - anywhere.

And since who knows what she was doing to cats (and other animals) before she went public, the ending of her career doesn’t exactly bring a tear to my eye. To put it mildly.

She can work in research or as a drug rep and make more money than she would have as a vet in someone else’s practice.

I suppose none of you have thought about all those vets in research doing all sorts of things to cats, dogs, rabbits, rats…

For those who think bad things don’t go on in just about every vet clinic, behind closed doors, are just fooling themselves.

Well she most likely has achieved one thing. Her name is going to be known to far more people than any other vet this year. I guess that’s what she meant by vet of the year.
