Voltaire saddles?? Anyone heard of them??

They are made in France. I do believe that several of the saddlery that were with devoucoux left and opened Voltaire. Nice saddles. Tons of big name trainers and jumper riders have them. Have been around for a few years now. They are lovely and comfortable to ride in. Ck out their fb page and website.

I have had a Voltaire Palm Beach second skin for about 4 months now and loooove it. It sits me on the right position, does not hurt my crotch, is lovely and I feel like I do almost have monoflap contact because of the second skin. No problems with leg placement over jumps. I am tall with long legs so the 3a flap is awesome. Couldn’t be happier with the saddle.

I also ha e the palm beach second skin (in buffalo) & its glorious. Had it fit to my impossible-to-fit-TB & he never jumped better. The 2nd skin did so much for him because he’s your typical high withered, giant shouldered TB and the freedom the 2nd skin & the flexible panel gave him were incredible. I joke with my clients that if I come out of that saddle something serious had to happen, its soo sticky/secure. Had a great experience with the reps & they offer a lot of great incentives for trainers.

The Stuttgart Voltaire saddle.
Hello all I’m kind of new here & found this forum by accident. I was looking up info on Voltaire saddles & it brought me to this site. I have just ordered a 16.5 Voltaire Stuttgart saddle with the second skin. This will only be my 3rd really well made saddle I’ve ever purchased & due to price I’m wanting to feel very confident that I made the correct choice. Our Voltaire rep here in Georgia came to our barn who was very patient/knowledgeable & showed me several Voltaire models - Palm Beach & Stuttgart. I am a challenge to fit due to my extremely small statue (4’ 11", 107 lbs) so it was very difficult to find the right saddle. All fortunately fit my horse Charlotte very nicely which was my first priority. I was just wondering if anyone here has purchased or ridden in the Stuttgart & their opinions. My horse’s trainer has an older model Voltaire & loves it, but I have never ridden in hers since she does not train me - only Charlotte.
Thanks in advance.

Well, hopefully you like it since you already ordered one! I have a Stuttgart and I lurve it. I have a somewhat tube-like WB and the saddle fits us both perfectly. We do the jumpers and the thing never moves. I loved my old County and it fit my horse fine, but I wasn’t as secure in it over very large jumps, and I have to say that my horse moves even better in the Voltaire than anything else I’ve tried.

Enjoy it- they are really well-made saddles.

This is a super old thread, just FYI

Right, but the person who posted above me resurrected it to get more opinions on Voltaires, so I replied in that spirit.

I know, I never understand why people revive threads like this

I imagine in this case, the new poster ran a search for Voltaire saddles and this was the most relevant, if dated, on that came up.

Can’t imagine WHAT search would give you this ancient thread as a top hit?!

They may not have even noticed. I’ve almost done a dreaded thread necromancy a few times until I realized it was from 2009 or something. The search function for me often brings things up in weird order. Or maybe I just read weird, who knows :stuck_out_tongue:

Google - that’s what. I’ve come upon really old threads via Google.

Why would starting a new thread be better? It seems like it’s beneficial to keep all info on a topic in the same place, rather than rehashing again and again.

Because, especially on longer threads like this, people will reply to the OP without reading the rest. They’ll completely miss the resurrection post so those questions won’t get answered anyway.

Sorry I’ve apparently irritated some members here posting on an old thread. Yes it was Google I searched that brought me to this site.

Thank you for the understanding replies from several of the other members that did not seem offended/irritated.
I’ll try not to post on the Forum in the future.

Not irritated, just explaining it’s an old thread. Hence you may not get the same level/type of relies as if you start a new thread that with a more timely subject-line.

I am good friends with Bryce the CEO of voltaire after buying one from him last year. I tried many different saddles and the voltaire saddle was by far the most comfy and with the best seat position. I ended up buying the buffalo leather palm beach model and I will never buy a different saddle brand ever again. Best customer service, quality and comfort. I love my voltaire and many of my friends also have them. They are expensive running about $5,000 but they are worth every penny. I love my voltaire!

I got a buffalo Voltaire Stuggart this past December and I absolutely love love love it! I’ve had an Antares and a County and have sat in CWDs, PJs, Butets, Hermes, etc. This saddle fit my horse and myself perfectly and it keeps me very secure over big jumps. The customer service is amazing too  Hope you enjoy your new saddle!
