Waldenbrook Farm moving to Seattle!

I think that’s right. Perhaps French can choose some creature comforts for himself by moving to the lovely PNW while continuing to train and show in a way that suits him. He wouldn’t be the first BNT at the top of his game who made this kind of a move.

If he is going to be centered
in.Clearview , now that Paine field is open easy peasy to fly to SoCal non stop. Fast trip, no SeaTac slog

From what I understand he is looking to semi retire, spend less time on the road, and have a quieter life and his partner quite likes the PNW.

Article published this morning! Provides John’s thoughts on the move.

“I’m excited,” he said. “I don’t mind change. I think change is fun. If I’m going to make such big change, I need to do it now [while I’m still riding] and get more established in the area. People keep coming up to me, and they’re like, ‘What? All the way to Seattle? It’s cold, and it rains there.’ I’ve been in California for 32 years. I’m taking it one day at a time, and we’ll see what happens. I hear a lot of good things about the Northwest and the Northwest shows. I can tell you where I’m going to be every week in California for the last 32 years. To be able to go somewhere else will be exciting.”

Sounds like a great opportunity for everyone. I have to wonder how having such an elite trainer mght work. Will local riders trailer in weekly or monthly for refinement and tune up?

We are a different breed up here, I hope he learns to unwind and enjoy

The above statement is true. Don’t get excited thinking he’s going to show up at Monroe or Cle Elum though!
