word to the wise - measure your longest horse nose to just behind the tail dock to figure what USABLE stall length you will require…
No matter what width of trailer or width of stall measured at the head wall you build it will always be shorter in usable stall length than a straight load -
The definition of “fit” may differ between owners too!
Ask for the actual divider length in a slant load to give you a more accurate usable stall length
Examples -
regular straight load with 10’ wall to back door is about 9’6 usable
regular slant loads with 10 1/2’ stated stall length is really more like 7.75’ usable - or smaller depending on brand
XXL slant load 7’6 wide with 50" stall widths about 9’ usable
SO - figure what you need first then go from there!

Hi Risa - Question for you. I’ve been checking out the Balanced Ride 2 horse bumper pull straight load (7’8 tall). Can you tell me how heavy the trailer is? I can tow GWVR of 7500lbs. Thanks for all the comments I think I’ve come to the realization the slant load - while I love them - will be too short for my giant horse and the 2 +1 is too heavy. So I’m coming to terms with getting a straight load - I like the Hawk and Balanced Ride - now needing to decide which one to get (it must be 7’6+ tall). Thanks again!!!

Check out Fautras. Gena Ram in North Carolina imports them from France. The Fautras Oblic is a slant load. I have the straight load and it is warmblood height, so I’d expect the Oblic might also come in warmblood. I can’t say enough good things about the quality and design.
