My front load washers have always washed my pads nicely. I have a rubber bristled brush of sorts that removes hair and dirt. Then I toss one or two pads in the washer.
I don’t let them get too dirty, and typically use them for only a few rides, but could be longer if the pad is still fairly clean/the horse didn’t really sweat.
I was just rearranging my saddle pad collection the other day, and almost all of them look very good or almost new.
