Could Allison compete as an individual? Will the US be able to send one?

We all hoot and hollar about the illogical selection procedures and now we’re saying it’s best to leave the best US 4* horse this spring at home.

While I like the horse…he is not the best US 4* horse. Several didn’t compete at Rolex this weekend. And one event…doesn’t make him now a proven consistent competitor or the best 4* horse–just the top horse this one weekend.

Given the past “team selections”…I will not be all that surprised if he is put on the team. I just think it would be a mistake and a huge gamble.

I’d rather see her focus and go back to Burghley and win there. Maybe by WEG 2014 he will be consistent.

I agree with BFNE… especially since the WEG is in 2014!

I think both posts of BFNE are dead on. Nobody was rooting for Allison and Arthur more than I and was so, so happy for them. I suspect that long route will forever be a question in her mind. What if…but she did the right thing. A wonderful weekend on a magnificent horse and imagine the pressure on her Sunday - yikes. Cheers to them both!!

That said, not for the team, even as an alternate, this year. Long-term = WEGS. Short-term = Burghley. IMHO.

Watching Boyd on Otis Barboterie(sp?) in stadium was impressive, that horse was sailing over those jumps with room to spare, and Boyd had that attacking look XC!

woops! fixed that:lol:

Whassup wit the taped sections?

Trying to watch the X-country now and Nada

Sections on the site are 3:24 (Morning) & 2:27min (Afternoon) - and nothing is running except the commercial & logo :frowning:

Dressage sections 1 to 5 are a LOT longer and run fine.
What happened?

Having been at Rolex this year I was surprised to watch just a bit of the NBC coverage on my DVR late last night - who is this Michael Fox-Pitt chap they were mentioning several times?

Must be William’s long lost twin brother.

I heard that too and had to do a double take.
