I had no idea Charisma had offspring.
I vaguely remembered seeing something about Heritage importing him as a stallion. I assumed he’d just been gelded late but apparently he did have foals on the ground.
Very interesting, thanks.
It’s too bad they didn’t collect him before they gelded him. He could have had his own equitation dynasty. Lol.
Way to go, John & Milagro! Spectacular!
A friend who was there confirmed that Scott Stewart went off course on the first horse - he missed the single jump at the end of the ring, which I’m thinking we couldn’t see on the livestream (seemed like they were still figuring out the camera angles at the beginning!).
Also, I think what I heard was Abby Blankenship for who was sitting in with Oliver and Jacob?
Great class tonight. Big improvement making the second round a handy, and I thought the judges were clear with their scoring that they were going to reward the people who went for it with pace and handiness. John French’s tight rollback turn to a 4’ fence, getting there straight with impulsion, was pretty impressive. Just beautiful to see so many high quality horses and accurate riders under the lights!
Thanks. That stinks for Scott. Very unfortunate.
And yes, they did confirm it was Abby later on.
It was a great class.
I love the age range on the first and second place riders. Because… horses.
What happened?
Churchill had a fantastic trip going and (I guess ) never got his eye on the next to last fence for some reason. He put in a super deep chip step + left dive. Kudos to his rider for staying with what had to be a very tough jump. I thought he might go through it for a split second. They regrouped on their way to the final oxer & finished ok.
Cute article!
