What antique/vintage equestrian bits and bobs do you have? Or otherwise meaningful horse related things?

Awesome find (love Vladimir) . Family lore. In the 60’s my mom was gifted a side saddle. (loosely quoting) It was not proper for a young lady to be riding astride, let alone bareback. (quotee was in her 80’s, my mom 20’s). ETA it had a tiny heart shape stirrup, I think my mom still uses as a paper weight. Side saddle is not easy. (tried a few times) Enjoy even if decoration.

I saw one with a heart shaped stirrup in upstate NY years back. If I’d had the money I would have bought it just for that tiny stirrup I couldn’t fit my big toe into. Must have been a child’s saddle.

They also had those buttons at the calf that left indelible imprints on your legs & were made from not heat-friendly cavalry twill
I had a pair, was not sad to see them go.
