Definitely the Aerowick - you just can’t beat the price for a breech with belt loops, sock bottoms, and silicone patches. I have two pairs (grey and purple) and will most likely be getting more at some point! Best $45 ever spent
I have a pair of pipers that I really don’t like much–the sizing is just off for me. They feel too big, but if I go down a size they bind in all the wrong places. I was complaining the other day that they are the only breeches I’ve ever owned that feel like they are falling down while you are riding in them.
Shame, as I love all the color combinations and once you’ve hike them up, they are quite flattering!
So are these Ovation Aerowicks forgiving, for those of us of, err, less than perfect conformation? Looking at the online pix you can see the model’s shirt line where it is tucked in, which makes me wonder what else one would be able to see…
Has anyone tried the Ovation Bellisima yet? They look promising for $80 at Riding Warehouse.
I think they’re actually quite flattering - kind of “supportive,” if you know what I mean - and I’d say the sizing is pretty accurate. (I wear a size 4 - 6 in street clothes, with a slightly bigger butt than waist, and the 28s are perfect.)
That said, they definitely look like tights rather than regular breeches, so there’s that.
I have a pair of struck breeches that have good stick, but my equiline ones are super sticky. I haven’t tried any other brands yet, I mostly use leggings when riding around at home.
I’ve been really happy with my Montars. They are slightly more supportive than the Horze Grand Prix so hide a few more sins. I’ve gotten 3 pairs of white, non-see-through show breeches for $67/ea from DerbyHouse in the UK. They’re good for curvy people.
Try the Vertigo B from SmartPak, love them. Excellent fit and the silicone seat is just right. I also have the Ovations, and it’s draw on which I like best.
