What can you do with a stinky dog?

Rule out skin issues, infections, and anal sac clogs.

Give him a bath with gentle dog shampoo like Earth Bath.

Then I would start with diet. Take him off red meat and fillers. You can try the Orijen product made with chicken for a month to see if changing diet helps. Or you can make him food with meat and veggies. This is just for a month to see if it helps.

Is there some specific reason to switch to chicken for dogs with skin issues? Chicken is one of the most common food allergies that dogs can have, so I would be careful.

Thanks everyone! I bought the shampoo recommended by Aly, and even though I am a terrible procrastinator, I did give him a bath, and HE DOESN’T STINK ANYMORE!!!
Chlorhexidine shampoo: https://www.amazon.com/Antifungal-An…/dp/B01G2T1NDA.
It really worked!

I worked at a boarding kennel during high school. When one of the dogs got picky, we’d add a few splashes of water in with the canned + kibble, then stir it around. It disintegrates the canned food a bit so it coats the kibble and they usually get more into it after that. Also helps soften kibble up for older dogs who aren’t quite ready for fully soft diet.
