What do you do with all your championship coolers??

My tack room is decorated with the ones I don’t use, but they are basically expensive homes for dust bunnies and spiders!

You can send the ones you don’t like to me because they never give out coolers in my divisions… Or shows… Not that I’m good enough to ever win one.

Our local tack shop makes beautiful pillows: https://www.instagram.com/p/BF1gTCtL3J2/?taken-by=valenciasaddlery

We put the special ones in shadow/display boxes and display in tackroom/office. I would post a photo but I’ve packed them for our move. You can grab them at Michael’s. Good way to show them off without getting all the annoying dust on the fabric.

I have a bunch as well… I’ve seen them hung on blanket racks in tack rooms. But just had an idea of putting them into some sort of shadow box as a decoration… Has anyone done that b4?

See above ^^ (found a couple photos hanging out on my phone) I have done both shadow boxes and display boxes  I have had trouble finding wall shadow boxes that are deep enough to accommodate a folded blanket and then also a way to secure them to the thin backing so I usually opt for a stand-alone display box for coolers, shadow boxes for elaborate ribbons.

This is a problem that I can only dream of having. But here’s my idea:

There are a couple places I found online that have done wedding gown framing/preservation in shadowboxes and in displays that look worthy of the Met Costume Institute exhibit. If you have some coolers that are truly special and you don’t mind spending cash treasure to display your wool treasure, then I am pretty sure these places or others like them can figure out a modification to their existing designs for a lucite shadowbox.

And, if you do end up doing something like a shadowbox, please let us know who you went with and what your experience was like!

I bet this framing costs more then my whole dress did!!! Love the pillow ideas, especially if you have a tackroom or sitting area to display them in. My first thought was a quilt, bc they would be so cozy! and a great conversation piece to a study or living room. Mine always just ended up being used for the horses, but I may still have one or two stuffed away in a trunk somewhere, a super useful way to use them if I do say so myself :stuck_out_tongue:
