What do you wear if coats are waived?

I always wear my coat even if coats are waived. You only have to put in one right before going in the ring so even if you ride the Grand Prix test you only have to wear it 8-10 minutes.

Main reason I wear it is that it covers lots of flaws and gives a polished, neat and organized look.[/QUOTE]

I would rather wear my coat than show my numerous flaws to the judges.

If coats are waived it is a given that it is hot and probably humid. I am braless in that situation. I am cooler and more comfortable without the bra, but I cannot go without the coat is that situation. So, the jacket is on, at the last minute possible, and just for the test.

Update from show

I had a great time at the show! It was at the Chicopee Woods Ag Center in Gainesville, GA and I think that is a great facility. I wore a white Land’s End polo shirt tucked into my britches. I must admit, I don’t like the feeling of my belly and rear being so exposed, but it is a good incentive to keep on exercising and working out! Jade was a wonderful girl. She was an eventer in her former life and is very content playing dressage star with me.
We scored in the mid to high 60’s in our tests (T2, T3 and T4) and came home with ribbons and a poncho as a prize. It was interesting to see what everyone was wearing. Some had on coats and some did not. It was not as hot as the previous weekend so I could have managed to wear my coat if I had brought it with an appropriate shirt and stock tie. Let’s hope the cooler weather holds!!

Congrats to you and Jade! Great job! I have fond memories of attending shows at Chicopee Woods Ag Center in Gainesville. I am also pulling for the cooler temps, now if we could just get some rain down here!
