Apparently I did not read Simkie’s post. Thanks!!
Feral or stray dogs and cats, can easily do any and all of these things. The ones with the bones left is probably the end work of a vulture, anything could happen to animals, but my own Boxer dog brought back a fox kit she had caught and killed and laid it on my porch. We were at war with overwhelming numbers of foxes and my chickens being killed during daylight free range hours so I had encouraged her to go after foxes. If the mother is away and the kits are home, a host of things can kill. The kit on top of a dead chicken could be the mystery of the predator had one in the mouth, came upon chicken, sniffing it to to see what is better and being startled off by something else. I hope the camera gives you some answers and keep the barn cat up at night! BTW, lovely Collie! Collies are sensitive, they are not the predatory type dogs so much as herding so this would bother her, it would bother my busy little Dachshund/Beagle but her idea of predatory behavior is to eat giant grasshoppers and scream her head off at cats, but terrified of the kitties primarily. I think her mother was killed by a local Florida panther (not my dog but she disappeared) because she has hysterics about black cats, other kitties only mild chase interest but if kittie stands and hisses, aaaaaaaah, run awaaaaaaaay, faaaaaast!
I agree coyotes generally consume the entire body and don’t leave things behind. We recently lost our barn cat to a coyote, as well as a stray that started coming around. We have been here for five years, in a small neighborhood that is miles from town, surrounded by woods and national park. We’ve had barn cats this whole time, and the coyotes have come into the pasture, but only recently expanded their territory so close to the house.
When our barn cat went missing, she had been more comfortable leaving the yard at night, and disappeared earlier than usual so I couldn’t lock her up. After a few days, we found coyote scat that was mostly black fur. And more scat in our driveway that was orange fur. My cats get locked up as early as it takes now.
I was hoping for an update. Did you get the cameras out yet?
Got the cameras but so far no footage of anything?! And no more carcasses either
Of course not.
They knew you were on to them and they packed up the road show for another venue.
Dangnabbit.
There is nothing funner than downloading game cameras. I have done some field work in Peru and South Africa and it is like christmas morning.
for the mystery pelvis, a close up of the feet would have been very helpful at making a call. Feet , particularly the pads can be very diagnostic
This is not at ALL helpful now  but the BEST time to figure out where to place cams is a day or two after a snowfall. The tracks make it SO easy to see where wildlife is moving. I have spots on the property that seem like they’d be great pinch points for wildlife…and I get nothing. And then I see a bunch of tracks in a spot that doesn’t make any sense (to me!) and it’s a cam goldmine.
Right now I’m getting a boatload of coyotes and a surprising number of raccoon pictures. The raccoons were a rarity before these past couple weeks–I might have one or two pics of them, but now have several on a few different cams. I’m eagerly awaiting the fawns
