I’ve got a chestnut welsh/tb cross who has similar reactions to fly spray. I’m careful to hose him off to remove sweat and residual fly spray after riding, but towards the end of fly season his skin starts to peel and scurf, especially his chest area and neck where the reins come in contact. It seems to be aggravated when we’ve had really hot and humid weather and he sweats even when not working… He’s especially sensitive to Endure. I find he’s less reactive to water based sprays. So far he’s shown no reaction to Tritec 14.
