AniMed Histall H. Years of trial & error & vet bills before I found this OTC relief for my poor horse who’s allergic-to-the-world.

Untie and Platinum Performance Renew. Much more comfortable horse!

The barn I board at was designed with trap doors in the floor of the loft into each stall. That’s great as is, lift the little door and chuck hay down, but for my picky, messy cow of a horse, attaching a giant haynet to the opening has improved everyone’s life - horse’s, mine, barn workers’, barn owner’s, etc. It used to be that any hay that got within about a mile of her feet was poisoned. Now, she makes zero mess and spends a nice amount of time with her snout on the ground underneath the giant net to pick at any alfalfa leaf that has fallen through the bottom of the net. There is always hay available, none gets wasted, and no-one has to fart around dragging nets and hanging them every day

I’ve even made mine so that it can be opened from the bottom to be emptied in case of emergency or scheduled sedation - just undo the safety knot, pull the rope and it opens and empties onto the stall floor. Fork it out of the stall and voila, hay free stall for recovery from sedation post-teeth floating, etc.

barn washer and dryer–everything gets used just once and then washed. The reduction in skin crud is noteworthy, and putting a fleece cooler in the dryer at the beginning of a ride, means it’s toasty warm when I take it out and put it on horsey post-ride. Horsey LOVES warm cooler.

dosing syringe (for regumate)–One pull of the trigger and the right amount of medication comes out, without the need for me to measure, handle a drug I’d rather not, or have to worry about getting it on me. Plus, it’s expensive enough that anything that reduces waste or risk of spilling is worth it all on its own.

vacuum–yup, gotta agree with other posters on this. When trying to get my German Sport Yak clean and presentable to ride, a vacuum is the only thing that works. It’s also great for those sensitive skinned chestnut mares who hate currying. I may only need the vacuum a couple of months a year, but it’s well worth buying, even for that limited time.

in the non-product, but life-changing improvements category, I’d add AI (so we can access the best bloodlines no matter where we live), quality-of-life drugs like previcox and adequan, and improved veterinary/health technology (digital radiographs, PEMF, etc)

horse trailer.

Was noticing yesterday that were we got daughter’s new yearling it was to be Minus 21 F last night where it is positive 40 here. As I was putting him into the pasture this morning the sun was shining, no wind headed to 60F I told him his old home was not to be above Zero F for several days …he just looked at me then ran off to get away

Velcro breakaway trailer/cross ties - hate anything else now

Little $10 solar powered motion activated lights attached to gate post and barn door - light up as you approach: I bless their existence every day.

Long sleeved sun shirts!

Repel or Cutter etc mosquito and cullicoides repellent that actually works with lemon eucalyptus oil as the main ingredient. Sweetitch begone! And it smells great!

MagRestore for stressy horses

Horsetech for custom supps that are cheaper and easier than buying separately, and come with free choc chip cookies?!

Bossy’s Bibs under every rug: game changer

Dozens of pairs of nitrile gardening gloves I keep in the garage. Fresh pair daily keeps hands clean and warm and dry enough to make a difference at the barn.

My vet said the same thing about it–he claimed that the mineral oil base is not a good choice for healing. My experience with the product suggests otherwise.

can definitely stand behind buying your horse a heating blanket

Dollar store thin winter gloves for daily tack cleaning.

 You forgot baling twine!

Pelleted bedding was a game changer for me.
So much less waste, composts quicker than shavings & does not get stuck in manes/tails.

Heated 5gal buckets for stalls make my life easier and give horses unfrozen water even thru a Polar Vortex.

COTH tip on feeding BOSS is my gospel for shiny, soft haircoats.
I feed about 2 tbsp twice a day, so a cheap supplement.
I have even converted my 3rd generation Hackney Pony friends.

Yes absolutely the Keratex hoof care products, hardener and gel for maintenance. My horse lived out 24/7 in the Seattle area, good feet thanks to this product line.

My beloved draftx, Tucker, who passed a year ago on Jan. 2, was a mess. Because of him, I am grateful for Hilton Herbs!
The Bye Bye Itch products really turned his world around and kept his allergies in check.
The Mud Defender worked not only on scratches and rain rot, but also his summer sores.
Their Hoof and Health…so good, both he and my chestnut OTTB dapple and during the summer, my farrier asks me to stop using it due to so much hoof growth.
Herballs!!! The BEST natural treat on the market. Tucker also had EPSM, so these were the best treat to give him. I have yet to meet a horse who doesn’t like them!

Epona grooming products! Stacey is so innovative with her grooming products. The best though is the Tiger Tongue. My chestnut OTTB mare, Secret, is super sensitive and this is the only thing she likes.

Sunshirts. I live in Florida, need I say more? And preferably styles that are loose and boxy and not tight fitting.

Another vote for Tiger Tongue. It’s like a magic eraser for horses. And the Epona Shed Flower is great during shedding season. I have a new woolly pony and stocked up on those and strip blocks.

Also loving my Thinline pad for the not quite perfectly fitting saddle on super wide new pony. Oh, and the TSF girth.

NibbleNets. They are so easy. I use them in the barn and full bale size ones in my run in shelters. I can afford to feed my boarders free choice hay because none gets wasted. Open and close a few snaps takes seconds and isn’t messy like stuffing nets can be.

Nelsons in all the stalls and paddocks. Such a labor saver! It is a wonderful product, easy to work on and very reliable.

Good Haas brushes. A luxury, but my horses like them so much.

atr and @HPFarmette is this the hose? https://clearflowwaterhose.com/
I’m seriously tempted! Just need to decide between the regular one and the heavier duty…

I don’t know…they seem to be unavailable on the Amazon link. I have a variety of “pocket hoses” I am using.
