What to check for on older Brenderup

Good luck with securing a replacement. I think everyone who has had one done has had to have one custom made. Most trailer places are completely unfamiliar with them.

Yes, I took it to the trailer place right after hauling it home and dropped it off. I definitely didn’t budget enough for the floor! I asked for $500 off the price for the floor, but it’s going to be in the range of $800-900 to have it done. It will be custom, they will do a rhino-lining type coating instead of the resin/ epoxy. And I am so mad at myself, they told me the tires were only 5 years old, and I didn’t look at them close enough because I spent so much time going over the rest of the trailer in detail because it was so foreign to me. They are original from 2005. The thing that makes me mad is that I KNOW BETTER. Ugh. The trailer service place has worked on other Brenderups, and said that other than the floor and tires, the trailer is in great shape.

I did stop by the barn on the way to the trailer repair and did a test load. My horse didn’t seem to mind it terribly.

Help needed: I looked at the floor of my B-rup (thanks for the great advice, posters!). From the inside of the trailer, I don’t detect any issues. The flooring coating is pristine, cannot make any imprssion at all on the floor with the screwdriver, and the sound of the floor is consistent throughout when tapped.

I live in Phoenix, and this trailer’s had very little use since bought in 2002.

From a flooring integrity standpoint, any other checks I should make? Thanks!
