My memory is a bit dull here but wasn’t someone since 1980 who didn’t make the US or UK Olympic equestrian team suddenly a Bermuda or BVI equestrian team candidate?

I would assume on the mainland since they don’t ride their own mounts, so quarentine would not be an issue. I’m not sure though. Good question!

I don’t know if any the the equestrians attended the opening ceremony in Athens. But the equestrian venue in Athens was about an hour outside of the city. So if the equestrians didn’t attend, it wasn’t because of the distance, but perhaps because of their riding schedules.
