Where to find canary yellow wool fabric?

Very pretty! I wonder if you washed that loose & coarse wool if it would tighten up, or if you’d just end up with felt :wink:

I found some melton wool on fabric.com, they had a couple different shades of yellow. They will sell in 1/2 yard increments too. Free shipping over $35 too.

That’s brilliant! I’ll try it out with a test swatch. Hubby is most experienced in shrinking wool clothes :winkgrin:

My mother taught me that trick (not on purpose). It’s amazing how dense - and small - a wool sweater can get…

If the weight is close to what you want and you’re really going to try it, I’d start with slightly warm water and a fairly gentle cycle. You can always do it again with hotter water and more agitation. Good luck!
