Wherevis everyone selling used tack these days?

I save it all up and sell it at tack sales coming up here in Jan/Feb or the giant tack sale a the annual equine fair in Spring. We also have a used tack store you can consign at.

I used to be a loyal eBayer but they gouge sellers so much I just couldn’t justify it anymore. FB seems to have mostly tirekickers and scammers. It gets so old.

I swapped from eBay to FB because of the fees but ended going back to eBay as my preferred way to sell. My experience on FB was everyone wanted to negotiate huge discounts. I always price my items very reasonably and got so frustrated with lowball offers and then they wanted free shipping too.

Yep, everyone wants something for nothing on FB. You’re less likely to get questions and go back & forth with someone on eBay messenger than FB! I always hate the ding! “Hello, is this item still available?”
I went round and round with one lady with measurements in a western saddle- one that is currently being sold so you can access manufacturer info still. I took photos and whatever she wanted. She wanted me to be home on Tuesday to come see it and I said, no. I said I don’t meet people I don’t know at my home and I have this thing I do called work during the day. I offered a public space to meet and never heard back. Ugh. High school 4h kids are significantly better to deal with!!

I posted a pile of stuff in "High End Eventing/Hunter/Jumper/Dressage Tack this weekend with pretty low expectations, but ended up quickly selling six items, basically for asking price (even a girth!). Now the post has gone dead, so I’ll have to change up my mix of stuff and post again in a week or so. At least my tack hoard is slowly dwindling to a more manageable size.
