Which clippers?

Can you use the Andis T84 blades with the Laube? They will attach since the laube can use A5 blades but will they be fully functional?

Yes, the T84s work just fine. If a clipper is set up as an A5, ALL A5 blades will work. I have practically every companies A5s for mt Laubes and they all work perfectly

The best clippers out there would be Lister Clippers. I have tried them all. Lister are quiet enough. They work so smoothly and the hair doesn’t go in your direction like the Oster’s. I bathed our horse thoroughly and the hair just floated off! LOL!! Here is the link. Many places are offering 20% off…get 'em while you can.

Another fan of the Premier 4000’s for body clipping.

No you can’t. :frowning:

I opted to try the Laube clippers due to their speed and power. I called the company directly to talk about what the different clipper models had to offer. They were extremely helpful and directed me to a distributor that has extremely good prices and great customer service.

Ressurecting this as I want some advice on purchasing my first set of clippers! I have borrowed a friends set, pretty sure they are Wahl; the type with the lever to adjust the length (surgical to normal) they do a great job and are good for doing legs/heads as well as body but it takes me HOURS to clip! Looking for the best quality that are lightweight and cool oh and I don’t want the type that you have to tension the blades on… Should say I am in FL and horse needs doing every 4-5 weeks. We bath and show sheen before clipping but would be nice to find a set that has decent blades and can do several clips between being sharpened.

I have Double Ks that are probably a decade old and have done tons of clips. They use regular A5 blades. I have clipped a cushings pony (the worst kind of hair, IMO) about 10 times in the past two years without replacing blades. I have about 4 or 5 #10 blades that I rotate as needed and have not repaced them or had them sharpened.

Laube also puts out a good product - I had a set of their corded clippers for 15 years and body clipped a ton of horses, as well as completed show clips. They were drug, pulled, stomped on, and abused and they were fantastic. I repaced them with a cordless set and had nothing but trouble, and the complany was terrible to work with.

I just adore my Lister stars. What a great product!

You don’t need to. The Lister Star blade surface is LARGER than the T84. The T84 extends the chipping surface of a A5 clipper but the Oster Clipmaster and Lister Star are an entire body class up and their blades are much larger than the T84.
