White line disease

The lighter color on the hoof wall around the area looks like where the farrier has rasped the hoof down. As long as you keep treating it, that area should grow out in the next couple of cycles. I think you’re okay.

What are using to clean the hoof wall? A wire brush or as BHK said above a rasp would be abrasive enough to take off some color. Not a big deal though.

It looks like normal colouring (or rather a lack of pigment) in the hoof wall. You may not have noticed it before because the farrier has rasped/thinned the wall.

It’s nothing to worry about.

Received the Oxine AH and citric acid today. Will start soaking.
