Who are the best made horse trailers??

just because something is advertised doesn’t mean it’s pricier.

OH I hear you on that, however with the major decline of manufacturer’s standards on the Sundowner lead me to wonder just where the profits really are going, because they certainly are not going into axles that are sufficient weight for the trailer, the proper tire sizes, safely spaced frame welds and fun stuff like those pesky things that hold your ramp on

Just sayin’

I purchased a Silverstar a little over a year ago and have been very happy with it. There is a big dealer in my area that sells Silverstars and Cimmarons. Liked them both. Ended up buying mine in north Georgia and got a much, much better deal. I think the place was near Rome Georgia. The Silverstars are also insulated which makes a difference in the south.

I’m surprised no one mentioned Bloomer but then again they are quite expensive. I had a professional hauler come and ship a horse I sold. He had a Bloomer and he loved it. It was a really nice trailer. He also had a Featherlite and said he would never have another one.

4Stars! I love my 4horse , it is 10 years old and still looks new!

We are in the market for a new trailer too. Does anyone have any experience with Dreamcoach? They seem like a very well made trailer. We were very impressed when we went to look at them. I also like the Hawk’s. Thanks for your help!

  1. TURNBOW - 2. BLOOMER - 3. 4 STAR - 4. TWISTER - 5. PLATINUM - 6. MILEY - 7. SOONER - 8. TRAILS WEST - 9. HART - 10. . STIDHAM

First post, on an 11 year old thread? Just- WHY?

Why not? Is there a rule you aren’t supposed to keep adding info on a informative thread .

It’s odd. The end.

I’m not sure what is odd? A person might do a search on horse trailers and this comes up. it’s really not odd at all.

Bloomer & 4Star. I personally also like Merhow and Cimarron

COTH seems to have a tradition of not reviving really old threads but rather starting a new one. Sometimes really old threads are bumped up by spammers.

But new posters might not know that or might not even realise it’s an old thread if they searched a topic, found a thread, and got so interested they joined just to post a comment.

I have done that multiple times.

I checked to see if “J.R.” was related to the owners of their number one reference… didn’t appear to be

But…an Eleven Year Old thread regarding trailers is kind of outdated

Stidham? Really?

There are some folks who randomly bump up ancient posts by replying, then delete their bump up reply so nobody knows they did it. Kind of a game to see who wastes time recommending things to a situation that ended years ago.

Sometimes with more controversial threads, a first post alter replies to bring it back up and either defend themselves yet again or continue a pile on to trash somebody. I never got the defend themselves one (but it can keep the more memorable train wrecks alive) it just brings back the dead to the front page and top of a Google search.

But this one seems pretty mundane…except there’s a million threads on trailers between now and 11 years ago, would have had to dig for this one. Trouble with old threads like this is the info in them is often outdated and you feel foolish if you recommend something that wasn’t available at the time to tne OP and OP hasn’t even been back for years. Somebody probably finds that funny,.
