Horse trucks are still very common here in Australia and I know that they can be fitted out to be very luxurious. Because the OP does have serious accommodation requirements I thought I would suggest it. The show jumping folks live in their trucks here when on the road. You can get them with a proper bathroom, kitchen, seating area, sleeping accommodation, washing machine, dishwasher, heaps of storage, awning, barbecue etc. The only limit on what can be done is how much money you have.

The first question the salesman ought to ask is “how much money you got?”

Someone linked to Equine Motor Coach. Very nice. There’s a company in Indiana called Showhauler that will build out a horse box on a Class 8 semi chassis. Such builders are around!

I’m still convinced that for the vast majority of horse owners the truck/trailer combo is the most efficient in terms of economy and use.

I would second this. One of the nice things about a truck and LQ trailer is once you get the trailer set up at camp/show/where ever, you have the ability to disconnect the truck and use it to go somewhere. You don’t have this ability with a motor home and trailer or a horse box.
