I have quite a few Fred Stones, and I also have a Celeste Susany called ‘The Challenge’ that I really like.
Heywood Hardy
One of my favorites still working would be Sarah Minkiewicz-Breunig… she does gorgeous sculpture and flatwork both. Everything she creates has soul.
Three pages and no one has mentioned Heather St Clar Davis, I believe her work compares to many mentioned.
I don’t have favorite equine artists, but favorite pieces, among others:
The Chauvet cave’s horses ( much older than Lascaux)
Géricault’s Turkish horse and draft horse
Elise Genest’s work on horses and their movement
Géricault’s black horse with blanket
and also, Coustou’s Horses of Marly
Sophie, glad there is another Gericault fan. I love my Dapple Grey.
Also can’t fail to mention Gail Maslyk. A beautiful person and artist.

I have always loved Sarah Lynn Richards work.

Me too, I have a few pieces from her
Also this is random but the statue outside the Federal Trade Commission building in DC (representing trade) is wonderful. I was an antitrust attorney for many years and it never failed to make me all emotional when I went to the FTC.
Another current artist that might be appealing especially to fans of Sam Savitt is Kristina Lucas Francis

This is her flatwork, but she’s an accomplished sculptor and moldmaker too.
