Winter Mud Boots

Oh gawd. I didn’t realize the OP was looking for riding boots.
It wasn’t made clear.

Have to agree. The Ariat work hog is the best boot investment I ever made.
So there is no confusion. I can ride both English and Western in them. They handle the worst mud and wet conditions, keeps the toes protected and dry and with a good brushing after a long hard days work, I look my best shopping in our local Walmart or Dollar Store or taking the wife out to Wendys or the Diary Queen. Mine are steel toed also which I believe is standard now. Would never buy another pair of composite rubber boots again. Just a waste of good money. As previously stated, these boots hold up. Having worked in the wild west (OK, KS, AZ) when younger, I wish I’d had a pair of these then as I shuffled about the “OK Corral.”

A timely article; http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/features/hhs-17-best-winter-yard-boots-472153

I would go with regular Hunter boots and then these for when it’s cold.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I went out of town for a while and am just getting back to this thread. It didn’t matter to me if I can ride in them as well, and the Kamiks are on sale so I’m going to order them and hope for the best. My toes lose heat the quickest of all my body parts so I’d rather have something more insulated than less insulated.
