If anyone in New England wants to get in on getting measured for Dehner boots, John Dehner will come out and have a “measuring party.” If there’s enough people, it will be at no cost to the group to get him here, and we could get up to a 15% discount on the boots.
I would be interested in this. I am unwilling to get measured for custom unless it is someone REALLY experienced.

Fuller Fillies make show coats and are sized generously. Try smartpak.com or ebay.

Several of my friends have the Dublin River boots. I had been lusting over them as they are waterproof and lined. Thought they would make good winter barn boots. Unfortunately, I have 18 inch calves and have a hard time finding boots/chaps to fit off the rack. A local tack store was having a sale and I found the same type of boots in Shire’s brand which fit great without being “plus sized”. They are great to wear around the barn, but also comfortable to ride in.

Have you considered getting the shorter river boots, the mid river? I think those hit just below the calf. And Jeffers has them on sale now…they are the cheapest I’ve found them anywhere. http://www.jefferspet.com/dublin-mid-river-boots/camid/EQU/cp/0V-JA6/

Was perusing eBay and found this insanely low priced black coat. I have one of the 18/24 coats, and the quality is very good. This one is a steal:

I would have nabbed it but that size is too big.

Not sure if it has been posted, but Devon-Aire makes a very nice field boot, the Camden, which comes in an XX Wide calf.

LoriT how wide? Im size 6 with a 18" calf and cannot find modestly priced boots!! I know i will probably fork $500 for equitectors when my ff die

I think the RJ classic coats fit very nicely for larger chested/broader shoulders.
They fit me if I’m standing still but I felt like I could rip the shoulders out of the coat if I actually rode and jumped in it. Any other brands that have more room in the shoulders and plus sizes?? Or some stretch but not so much it looks cheap??

Ok girls… what brand of regular denim jeans (not riding jeans per se) do you recommend for those who need a high rise, but long leg? I HATE, HATE, HATE trying on pair after pair after pair, only to find that a) they don’t come up/over enough (homie doesn’t show her groceries) or b) the leg is too short.

Stretch jeans would be fine since I do bend over whilst trimming a lot and that stretch is more comfie, but regular are ok too.
I have a pretty long inseam, and a high waist (low rise does NOT work for me!).

I like Calvin Klein - they have a women’s jean that they sell through Costco (and I have a little store near me that sells Costco overstocks, so I get them for $10 a pop). Straight leg (not wide as boot cut, not skinny), straight through the waist (I am not very “curvey”).

Target also has a wide variety of fits in short and long, and run about $20 a pair - I have “skinny” stretchy ones for riding, and straight legs for all around work pants.

Just wanted to bump to keep this thread alive.

what about the dafna boots? would they fit my size 6 foot 17.5" calf? I need a warm winter boot!!! just feilds and heavy socks dont work!

So I tried to order a custom pair of Nittany boots in a 19" calf and we called them and the company is closing down and not doing customs anymore :c Does anyone know where I can get a brown pair of riding boots with a 19" calf? I know fuller fillies does large calved boots but I really wanted something in brown :c

You could go with custom boots from one of the various custom boot maker/sellers. I’ve heard good things about La Mundial boots. It should be generally around $650 for a pair of their boots.

I just put some boots on Ebay, not brown, but definitely will fit a 19" calf  they measure 20, yes 20 inches around!

I’ve recently lost 70lbs, so I don’t fit any of my riding clothes anymore. I’ve put a selection of my Trainer’s Choice, Irideon and Tuff rider breeches, as well as some shirts on ebay. check out indiekat71.

Congratulations!

Irideon Cadence F/S

Finally a different color than back/willow.

SmartPak now has the Irideon Cadence full seats in the plus sizes in navy. Yay!

I want them…
I don’t need them…
But I want them…
But if I order from SmartPak I won’t have to pay tax.
I could buy them from Adams too. They have a couple of more colors.
I think I need them, so I guess I will order them…

Hey Everyone,

I have following this page for a while and appreciate all the tips, place to find riding clothes for the “Non average” rider! Thanks!

Looking for a dressage coat on E-bay, but was able to find my size :frowning: So I bit the bullet and bought the Equine - Athletics from Smart Pak for $250. Fits a little big, not as heavy as other coats, has a mesh lining and STRETCH. Plan to wear it at a show in a few weeks. Let you know how it works out.

Also – I did see some larger sized RJ Classic Hunt Coats on E-Bay, Size 20 – Brand New if anyone is interested. A size too small for me :frowning:
