Wood for stall boards?

I’d absolutely put something up along anything more than 8’. One in the middle would be fine, I have a metal brace in the middle of my 12’ spans. But you could do 2 of them at the 1/3 and 2/3 distances.

Do you have a table saw? If so, or could borrow one, just lop off the stall-facing corners. Of if you’re hand enough with a skillsaw, you can do it that way too. Many of them allow you to angle the blade a bit.

we used 6 inch wide 5/4 pine rounded edge deck flooring boards, these have been in place for over 30 years without any splintering

the rounded edge is smooth designed to allow people to walk barefooted on a deck without getting splitters

Thanks so much–both are good suggestions-and the table saw has been living in the barn for the last three months so it is handy to try to play with angling (had not thought of that…) and I actually had picked up some of those same sized deck boards --so I will see what can work!
