Wool lined dressage pads...does your sensitive horse like it better?

I’ve been using the Griffin NuuMed quilted half-wool pads for a few years.
One is 9 years old, another 7, and the wool is like new.
I throw them in the washer, then fluff a couple of minutes in the dryer, then hang to dry.
The binding is worn on it where the girth billets go.
I can’t find them here in Canada so I get them from the UK…pricey, but so worth it.
You can sometimes find them on the UK ebay site, but shipping can be expensive.

I prefer the shaped pads for schooling.

My sensitive bee definitely prefers real sheepskin, placed directly on his back. I have several Mattes pads, as well as a Dover pad that is pretty nice quality for the price.

I also wash with Woolite in cold water and hang them up to dry. I have not had any problems and the pads are all in great shape.

Jaime…yup…you guessed it right! Soul brothers indeed. His Highness is more like it.

I ordered a Roma pad today! I’m eager to try it on the Prince and see how he likes it. I also like the roll on the front which will prevent any chance of it sliding under my pommel and pinching…something I’ve had an issue with before with some styles of pads.

I will be really careful laundering it. All the Prince’s pads are washed with non allergenic and dye free detergent already but I’ll look into some Woolite. I’d hate to get one of these nice pads and screw it up with the first wash!

Thanks again everyone!
